My post-‘Sleep-at-the-‘G’ report…

Well, another year, another Sleep at the ‘G

As mentioned earlier, last Thursday (16th May) I – along with my dear friends Tim and Chris – took part in Melbourne City Mission’s Sleep at the ‘G to raise funds to combat youth homelessness. It was a cold night, but the event was wonderfully well run as always, and a good time was had by all…

The 10:30 communal singalong with Phil & Robbo – good fun!

My oh-so-luxurious passport to The Land of Nod is the blue one.

The Grand Total of funds raised, as at 10:00 PM on Thursday night. That’s now gone up to $706,788 (at the time of writing)!

A rare insight into how they keep that hallowed MCG turf so green and healthy…

The more I take part in this event, the more tricks and ‘hacks’ I learn – four layers of clothing, earplugs AND noise cancelling headphones over the top of them, etc…. Next year, I DEFINITELY need to sort out my footwear, though; the socks I was wearing the other night were far too thin…

I’d like to thank everyone who donated to me personally, and everyone who donated to our team (The Lads V2.024). I’m proud to say that, together, we raised $1,107 for the cause.

If you’re in a position to donate, and you’d like to, YOU STILL CAN! Donations are still being accepted, right HERE:

That’s it for my little post-‘Sleep-at-the-‘G’ report for this year. And now that the three of us have all properly thawed out, we’re looking forward to doing it all again next year!

See you back here tomorrow, where the Mastermind Australia / Bottom juggernaut rolls on…
