Now this is something of a coup… English comedy entertainer David St John holds the Guinness World Record for ‘The Most TV Quiz Appearances As A Contestant’. From Sale Of The Century in 1982, right through to Face The Clock in 2013, David has buzzed, answered and bantered with the best of them. He’s recently written an eBook chronicling his unparalleled journey – Yours Quizzically: Confessions of a TV Quiz Addict, which is available now on Amazon.
All of which gives him a unique perspective of the perks and pitfalls and of applying to be a contestant on TV quiz shows. So I got in touch with him, asked if he’d mind answering a few questions, and he agreed! In the resulting exclusive interview, I was able to grill him about all the ups and downs he experienced – and all the tips and hints he’d gleaned – from his 30+ years in the contestant’s chair.
I’m very grateful to David for his time, and the resulting interview is a two-parter, that I’ll run over the next two weeks, with Part One appearing next Tuesday, right here on www.howtowingameshows.com!
